Skinbooster

Skinboosters are anti-aging treatments that prevent skin sagging and a loss of firmness. They are injections of very weakly cross-linked hyaluronic acid whose molecules are very fine. These particles act as veritable “sponges” that attract water, intensely hydrating the treatment areas. We recommend this type of treatment for creasing on the cheeks, neck and decolletage.

This technique can be coupled with a mesolift to boost hydration all over the face.

The skinbooster injection protocol recommended for the areas stated above is as follows:

Treatment session 1: injection of 2 millilitres (one per side) into the cheeks, or 3 to 4 millilitres into the neck and decolletage
2 months after first session: injection of 1 millilitre (half per side) into the cheek creases, or 2 to 3 millilitres into the neck and decolletage.
Then a full- or half-dose top-up, depending on requirements, every six months on average.

The injection technique uses a micro-cannula, which considerably reduces the risk of bruising and, in most cases, means no downtime is required. Patients can therefore get back to work immediately after treatment. The only side-effect noted, though rare, is a bit of localised swelling in the lower face (“declivity” oedema) which usually subsides after 24 to 48 hours.

Note that skinboosters are, in no case, volumising products and can therefore not widen the face for the long term, regardless of the amount of hyaluronic acid injected.

The effects noticed when this treatment is properly carried out are:

A reduction in the superficial “creased” effect in treated areas
Increased skin firmness, making it feel thicker
A more radiant complexion

The price of the treatment depends on the number of blisters injected but starts at 200 euros per millilitre (one blister contains one millilitre).
